Metal Venetian blinds stay bent if they get bent. But if you don't bend them, they'll outlast the ropes and straps. The house I grew up in had Venetian blinds when we moved in in 1962 that had probably been there for decades, and are still there 58 years later.

Oh, it got worse. The drugstore wasn't open before I set out yesterday morning, so I couldn't grab any antihistamines. It wasn't problematic on the ride (and it was a good ride, complete with gravely stream crossings), but it flared up afterwards. The sting was just above the Adam's apple, and now the itchy, inflamed area extends to the upper sternum.
Unlike my hip, it's a really awkward place to ice, and it hasn't been terribly effective. -I wish wish wish I were an NFL player with a big Twitter following - I'd tweet that on a Tuesday (lowercase "e" earth...). Then, when asked publicly, I'd ask them how they could possibly insult the groundskeepers who work so hard to keep the earth flat on the field. Look at it! Obviously that is flat earth. Now the planet "Earth" on the other hand, pretty round.
