Matching Silver and Black wheel components
I'm about to build up a wheelset. I have black H+Son tb14 and black novatec hubs F172SB-QR-11S + front A171SB (why can't they give them better names???).
My real dilemma is this. Should I go for black or silver spokes?
The TB14's has silver eyelets which adds to the confusion.
The bike in question will be a black centurion pro tour with holographic sparkle and r7000 groupset. Not decided on tyres yet.

Why can't you do both silver and black? I just built a set of 32 hole Velocity Deep V's and just for fun alternated 8-8-8-8 at the spoke holes.

Tough one. If you are using any silver components like groupset, post, stem, bars, I’d do silver on the spokes. If those are not silver, I’d go black. Thats the basic rule I followed when I built my ketchup & mustard bike.

I like your logic. Would you apply the rule if the frame was black, too, though, instead of your eye-catching red & yellow?

Totally depends on what I wanted to achieve. Certainly yes if I was going for a full blackout look. I might even stick with black spokes and go with matching tape, pedals and saddle. For me and a black frame, I’d probably opt for silver spokes but would use some other silver bits as well.

@herr_hest Looks great! Have you ridden those terravails before? I am considering new tires for my Lemond and am wondering if those would be an upgrade from Gravelkings.

I've ridden gk tlc and can give a comparison of that once I do ride these. Just handling them, the teravails are much softer and rubbery which seems promising

I've not ridden them yet as the bike is yet to come together. I saw a guy reviewing supple tires placing them in higher regard than the gravel Kings.
