1979 Schwinn Sports Limited F/F
For your consideration...
1979 Schwinn Sports Limited Frame and Fork...with most, but not all components
I bought this frame a bit over a year ago, with great intentions...but...like my riding, my building up has stalled...so, this is the first of a couple frames that I am going to see if anybody wants.
Specifications to the Frame...
Seat Tube (CTC) - 55 cm
Seat Tube (CTT) - 57 cm
Top Tube (CTC) - 56 cm
Rear Gap - 125 mm
Material: Schwinn CroMoly Fillet Brazed
Frame and Fork are in good shape for a bike this old...paint and decals are bit beat up! This was the very end of the line for Schwinn's Fillet Brazed bikes...only made in 1979 and only in Red...Schwinn was using up some older frames with this line. Only about 1000 were ever made...and, of course, they are VERY rare today...I have not seen more than about 1 or 2 on eBay in the last year or so! But...I do not search for them every day!
So, while this one is a bit beat up...it does command some premium...and, who knows, maybe I am undervaluing (or overvaluing) it! If it sells immediately, then I know I undervalued it!
But, if you think I overvalue...shoot me an offer.
