Would some sort of handlebar bag work for you?
One of the beauties of the Brompton is the way the front bag fits. You could get hold of a bracket for a Brompton bag and see if you can fit it. Some of the photos I've seen of the Dahon have a reflector attached to the front. I wonder if that mount could be adapted somehow. Unlike the Brompton, though, it would mean that the bag would move with the handlebars. However, there are many people who make Brompton bags so once you had it fitted the world would be your Oyster, so to speak.

there is a guy in Taiwan who designed a 3D printed clip on for mount right where the front reflector is.
Looks very good — and reasonably priced.
