Well, you may both be right. I'm sure the entry level Domane's are heavier and the larger sizes will be heavier. The more expensive ones are going to weigh less and again the smaller sizes less. So there can be a lot of varience between models and sizes up and down the spectrum. I have a 2018 Domane SLR 6 with OCLV 600 carbon, 60 cm frame, Ultegra components. I just weighed it for the first time for this post at 17.2 lbs with bottle cages, pedals and an aftermarket carbon seat which I believe weighs less than the original seat that it came with. (bottle cages not shown in this pic)

I've got an older titanium frame. Last time I weighed the bike with its prior round of componentry, it came in at about 16.6 lbs.

Me too. That's one of those colors that is "my color." Similar to my Ducati Monster S4. And, then there's my Masi Gran Criterium S. There's just something about the color that speaks to me I guess.

I know other people whose bike are much lighter then mine, But this was in a whole different league.
Good thing I bike for excersize because climbing in this beast of mine is a real chore. And with a bolt upright position, Don't even think about making time against the wind.

I bought a simple digital luggage scale to weigh bikes. I'm so glad that I did. It's nice to be able to answer the "what's it weigh?" when I'm selling a bike. Having a scale has proved to me that I didn't have a clue as to what my bikes really weighed. It turns out that my carbon bike comes in at 17 pounds even. That's fine.
Both of my 70s French bikes come in at a hair above 21 lbs, which would've been quite good at the time. They're both delightful rides, if quite a bit different from one another. My modern steel racer also weighs in at 21 lbs, nice considering its training-level Shimano wheelset. The rest weigh more...

Be aware that wile it rides decent enough its a fairly stiff ride and if you plan on putting tire bigger that 23's it will be a tight fit at the down tube.

I almost never travel without my ' commuting' bag because it has a U-lock, 48 oz Camelbak, tools, wallet, bluetooth speaker, and snacks in it. That alone weighs about 5 lbs. Apparently, that would increase the weight of some of your bikes by almost 33%!
My 2 wheel recumbent weighs 28 lb, with the small frame bag (spare tubes), lights, Airzound, Rack, fenders....in commuting trim. It's my pleasure ride when the weather is nice, but I don't strip it down, just hop on and ride, so with my commuting bag, it will, at best, weigh in at ~33lb. Add a change of clothes when I'm commuting for a typical commute day.
My velomobile, on the other hand, weighs in at 80 lbs.
I barely notice when I have to throw the laptop in the back for a work commute.

I just got my 1975 Colnago Super that I bought from a fellow BF member. Before I put the lightened Campagnolo pedals on it weighed 22.4 lbs , and it is a 63cm frame. It has Panaracer clincher tires , it might be lighter with tubulars , the way the previous owner had it set up prior to my purchase.Not bad for an old bike!

You mentioned a Giant OCR, I had a similar machine years ago, a TCR One. It weighed 18 pounds. I think the OCR may me a triple chain ring bike with a little sturdier build up so I would be surprised if it weighed over 21 pounds though

My bikes are 17-32 pounds-ish though it is possible my new "vintage" style MTB might be a little heavier but I haven't weighed it yet.
I could get my fixed gear down a lot more with lightweight wheels same with my road bike but honestly I am not a light weight rider so durability and strength or more important to me. Sure I would love to build a nice 13 pound jobber but I wouldn't feel comfortable riding it with my currently more aerodynamic profile.

Well even though it doesn't really mean anything I do keep track of my bike's weights. They are all weighed in ready to ride condition with their saddle, pedals, bottle cages, etc. They just won't have the frame pump, saddle bag, or water bottles on them.

My '75 Fuji (catalog weight 26.5 w/23" frame) is 30.4 pounds as ridden, with frame pump, rear rack, and one (full=2 lbs) water bottle. Not bad for a 45 year old bike with minor upgrades!
The '86 Miyata 710 (23.5# catalog weight w/54cm frame) is 24.6 with new lighter wheelset, tool kit bag (tube, tire levers, multi-tool), water bottle cage only (bottle not carried on my commute), frame-mounted mini-pump, and lights... Again, 35 year-old bike with some upgrades
