Prescription Sunglasses Recommendations?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No need, I paid near 4K for LASIK surgery.

I do value my eyesight and I'd like to think others do as well, bikes and cars through up rocks, sand, debri at high velocities.

Just jumping into this topic. I am also in search for RX sun glasses, and I've heard about Rudy Project. Are they comparable to Oakleys?

I ended up with a Ray-Ban frame and transitions lenses (love the transitions, no need to carry different glasses for different light conditions).
That's odd. I have really bad eyesight (-8.00 both sides) and Oakley still made lenses for my Oakley shades. It isn't oddly curved nor is it thick. I think your eyewear service peeps need to build more experience--must be newbies.

Anyway, most of the time I wear my glasses with Transition lenses. Heck, I recently saw a Transition lenses advert. with Tyler Farrar promoting them. WTF? Hehehe.

You know what? You can get prescription lenses with color tint in it. You don't have to stick with "sunglass" frames. It is just the lenses that matters.

I would only touch their z87.1 certified tactical line. Other than that, yea they should be fine.

I use these as my riding glasses, minus the "climate control" insert. Prescription transition lenses, so they can be used at all times.

The site says that a military ID is required to buy the prescription version - WTF?

+1 I only wear contacts to bike and by doing this you're not limited anymore in case there's glasses you really like but aren't offered in rx. The only downside is replacing the contacts. For me it's about 45 dollars every 12 weeks.

I'm ordering a pair of Oakley Radar Pitch (for my Asian nose). I'll be using it for both indoor and outdoor so I ordered two lenses for it. I'm not sure what the prices are cuz my sister's an optometrist and is hooking me up. If you know your prescription, you can order through a few website and ebay.

-4 and -5; couldn't get prescription wraparounds due to mad astigmatism. I have Adidas wraps with prescription inserts. Felt a bit drunk until I got used to them, but having the full coverage is worth it. Used to get headaches using clip-ons, since they didn't block glare from top and sides. Aaand, for that price, I should have bit it and bought contacts, but I like being able to hide behind my glasses.

Don't know anything about that. I got them at my local optometrist.
