Wilier Triestina
I'm new to this forum, but I'm interested in getting into road biking and I came across a Wilier Triestina for $375. It is a yellow bike with red lettering and I couldn't find any specific information on the Poggio labeling. I was wondering if anyone has any insight into this bike? Thanks! Also sorry I can't submit a photo, apparently, I need 10 posts to do so.
This was the listing:
Wilier Colombus steel road bike with Shimano 105, 3 x 9 groupset. New tires, cables, bar wrap, and bearings greased. Selle Italia saddle. 51cm top tube and seat tube.

Sounds like a bargain, maybe a steal. I would be suspicious that the frame is a clone at that price, but it ready to ride, still not bad considering everything else. You can post pictures to your album.

welcome to the forum CtCruiser!
a 51cm top tube is almost child size
this may be a typo or other form of error
if you go to look at the cycle you can measure
sounds fascinating
on the right side of your member page here at the forum there is a spot where you can create a photo album
no minimum number of posts is needed to do this
members can visit the album and place the images into the discussion thread

A yellow Triestina makes me presume it’s a later, Columbus Thron steel-tubed bike. For me, not as graily as the earlier chrome velato Triestinas. Still, likely a very nice bike worth more than the asking price. Put up some pics so we can better dispense our collective wisdom!

Thank ya'll for being so eager to help! I apologize for not putting up pictures earlier but I have created an album. I think my upload limit is still only one photo but I hope this is helpful.

How tall are you? If you're much over 5 feet tall, it'll likely be rather small for you.

I am 5'8" and generally fit on a 52 cm frame. Yes they are hard to find. I see mostly huge size frames and some extremely small like this.

I'm 5'8" and I'd want a 22"-23" frame. These medium sizes should be fairly common.

I finally, one year later! Bought my first road bike. Also, I'm trying to comment 10 times on this thread so I can post pictures and not bother an active thread.

The Modulus has been quite a challenge getting used to coming from mountain biking, but I am enjoying the road more than I thought I would.

You might want to start a new thread with pics of your new bike. Also post it in the regular C&V forum (not the valuation forum) unless you're selling your new old bike.

At 5'-8", you might fit on bikes up to 54cm size, and if you have long legs proportionally, up to 56cm.
But it is really best to try out any bike you are interested in first before you buy it.
