In four short years we have lost...
While I've been around these forums longer than most it's really only been a little over 4 years. Yet in that time we have lost some real icons from the cycling world. It almost seems surreal considering who it is that we have lost.
1. sydney:
He was an incredibly knowledgeable member here on bike forums and on a few other sites. He knew more about bicycle mechanics than just about anyone. He was grumpy sometimes but never wrong. He probably helped thousands of people fix their bikes. His real name was Jim Price and we was killed by a text messaging driver while he rode.
2. Ken Kifer
I'm not certain that Ken was a member here but you can search his name here and elsewhere and see that he was very big part of the cycling community.
3. Sheldon Brown
Sheldon tragically just passed away. He needs no introduction
I can see why they call it heaven. With those three guys up there, how could it not be?

Thanks for letting us know about Sheldon Brown.
I just read of his passing. Seems he was diagnosed with MS a few years ago and started riding a recumbent trike because he had a problem with balancing. He had a heart attack Feb 3, 2008. R.I.P.
