How do I find the right derailleur hanger?

Bikes: Older cannondale crossover (needs restoring), old Schwinn fixie/single conversion, brand new co-op cycles cty 1.1 (non-functional).

How do I find the right derailleur hanger?
I bought a new bike, a co-op cycle cty 1.1. the derailleur hanger shattered on it not long after I got it, I've spent more than 6 weeks trying to find a new derailleur hanger for it, does anyone have any advice on how to find out which derailleur hanger I need? I don't even know who manufactured it, because when I Google search for the manufacturer for that model it only just comes back to rei, I tried to ask REI who manufactures it and how do I find parts for it, they have really no clue. Guess that's what I get for buying an REI brand bike. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Why not ask REI for the hanger or for a hanger number? Or you can look at Wheels Manufacturing. Yours might be a 486 but best to check with them or REI
The following s for a City 1.1 from 2017-2020. There's a reasonable chance the bike in question uses the same hanger.

Maybe but…
Those won’t work. Look closely at the picture SurfeRosa posted in post 2. The hanger is closer to the 486 than it is to the 38. The 38 uses a chainring bolt to hold it in place.

You gotta eyeball it unless REI tells you exactly which replacement you need. Hopefully you saved the old one.

The REI here and the one where I used to live would always be helpful with just about any issue. They'd find the part or offer a refond on a return on a bike less than a year old.
FWIW, I'm skeptical of the OP's story. I have never seen a hanger shatter. They typically bend and possibly could break in one place. In any case it would be identifiable for finding a replacement.

OEM hangers often have no number or identification stamped on them. However I’m very skeptical that REI would not have access to the necessary information to identify the proper hanger.

I would have gone straight back to REI and they would have gotten me a new hanger, wouldn't have taken very long. Not sure why it would take anyone six weeks to do the most obvious thing.
Yes the bike is a very low initial cost bike but it is not much different than any similar sort of bike from most other manufacturers but REI would be an easy place to get a derailleur hanger for their own bike or help you find one if nothing else.

Top bit in the picture, inside curve - looks like some engraving maybe?
If not, take to a local bike shop. My shop as a big chart with the outline of a ton of hangers, they found two for me that way.

Dirt, no markings anywhere . I knew the year, make, and model so easily found the correct one. Could have ordered a generic online for 1/2 the price, but because it's my bike, I ordered the known quality Wheels Mfg one from my LBS

When looking for a new one don't just shop price.
Noticable difference in quality from the OEM to the USA made CNC'd Wheels Mfg. replacement.

The Wheels MFG ones are my preferred replacements. Sometimes you get really bendy OEM ones, others (Trek) can be really brittle and snap if you try to align them. I wish they all had numbers, that'd make my job a little quicker!

The ones from Wheels Manufacturering and Derailleur Hangers.com have numbers. OEM seldom do. I looked in our drawer o’ hangers at the co-op today and most had no markings at all. A few had numbers that were from the manufacturer but they didn’t match those used by on-line replacement hangers.
