Gitane TdF valuation

I’m going to downsize a bit and was considering moving this 1972 Gitane Tour de France along. I have a 1970 Gitane Super Corsa that makes the TdF redundant.
The derailleurs and downtube shifters are Campagnolo, as are the hubs. Stronglight crankset. MAFAC “Competition” brakes. Lyotard Berthet pedals. 54cm frame.
The usual nicks and scratches; missing a few of the foil Gitane decals (some may see this as an improvement!).
Wondering what the local value of a bike like this might be? I know values are down; just trying to get a sense of whether I should just leave this on the hook or not.
San Francisco Bay Area. Thanks!

Very nice; I would think it would go quickly if listed with good pictures.

All of the changes are plusses from most potential riders point of view:

tubulars replaced with wired-ons

alloy pillar with integral clamp replacing the plain one

Juy plastic gear ensemble replaced with Campag NR

---

If it does not move quickly for you in the bay area you could take it with you when you visit the island this summer and see if Dee Wallace Stone has any friends who might be interested...

I'd be tempted to keep those lyotard platform pedals and sell the bike either without pedals or with lyotards 460s or something similar. There's a lot of money in SF. I'm thinking $600-$700 in the Bay area.

Minor plus most would not notice -

1972 was the transition year for Verot's model 93 bewtween early and late types

so some 1972 model year cycles received early type and some late

this example appears to wear late; a good thing

cannot be positive as Rene is doing a fine job in the image of blocking the critical spot

please remember to thank Cloris for us regarding all of the community organizing she did around the preservation and restoration of the lighthouse
