Fuji Cross Tire Clearance
For anyone who has the Fuji Cross (The older disc brake model and not the 2016/2017 model), can anyone comment on the tire clearance, specifically the fork? I'm looking for 40c+ tire clearance with minimal mud. Thanks.

The best thing to do is order from a shop that lets you return items. Many good ones do (REI and Performance bike are some national brands that are available to me locally).
Industry specs require that you have something like 6mm of tire clearance, but individually you may not need that much. It is nice to have enough clearance to ride the bike if you break a spoke and have that much wheel wobble.
I have a bike based off an older Fuji design. I put a 38mm in the rear - that actually measures about 34mm and has a little rubbing under high torque. In the front, I can get away with a 45mm tire.

Performing some thread resurrection, because this is the kind of info I am always looking for:
On my 2014 Fuji Cross (aluminum frame), 700x40c Kendon Flintridge Pros mounted on the OEM Oval 527 CX wheels cleared the fork no problem, but there was only 1-2mm on either side in the chainstay - mud, wheel flex, or the wheel being slightly out of true would cause rub for sure.
I am running some Forte 700x35c street tires (no knobs) as well, and those have tons of clearance (I'm routinely asked if they're 28c tires). Pretty sure the OEM knobby tires were 700x32c,and I think the Grifo Challenge tires I've run briefly were 32 or 33c. Would try 38c if I had some, but I expect clearance in the back to be scary tight.

Clement MSO X'Plor 700x36c tubeless - fits
Thought I would share that I got a very good fit with some new Clement MSO X'Plor 700x36 tubeless tires on some Stan's Grail rims (Rim Width: External: 24.1mm; Internal: 20.3mm).
Tire measures just about 36mm wide at 60 psi (tire max). Eyeballing it, there appears to be 4-5mm of clearance between the tire & chainstays on both sides.
For reference, the frame is a 2014 Fuji Cross.
