Vitus Cilo Road Bike - $800 (Cambridge)

Rose gold c. 1985
Bonded tubular aluminum frame, extremely light.
54 cm (I believe this bike is officially 52 (52 is stamped on the steel headset) but I measure it to be 54 and this bike is for sure bigger than my other 52/53 bikes so I dunno).
Shimano 600 Group Set
Spinergy Xaero yellow spoke wheels

I'm going to switch out Bianchi saddle for another good saddle

Thanks for this pointer, I'm looking for this size for a friend and it's a walk from my house and the right price! Don't know how he'd feel about the paint but....

EDIT: Bought this bike and 2 things went sideways: the price went UP (hate when that happens) by 50%, and the size was just a little taller than advertised (the kid selling it a very nice kid but did not know how to measure a bike frame). Despite that there really was no significant damage and under the dirt it was in good shape so made the decision to buy it and worst case it would be a parts donor for another pressing project. Could put the frameset on the market if need be. Looks like the paint (mostly) plus the taller size (clincher) have scotched this for my intended purpose. So watch for it back as a bare frame (might have a few extras) in the future. As said it's in good condition and will be cleaned and shined when I'm ready to sell (and too small for me!) Surprised this has Biopace chainrings, whaaaaa?!

Just show him a couple re-runs of Miami Vice. That, or point him to this thread -- https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...-jobs-326.html

NB re pink: I bought a bright pink POC Tectal helmet a couple years ago; I think it was on sale because of the color. I get nothing but compliments about it, in particular from women. Go figure.....

For those that like the older Schwinns, not often you see them this good and if those are the original rims then wow! I'm unsure on the years of these my '67 has downtube shifting so they did have it.

I have no idea what this is but if it a Bianchi for $125 someone might be up to go look at it. Chain is loose, tape is toast and can't see what it is due to poor single photo.

Oh, and seller's ad title might make sense if you drank whisky and did a few lines for breakfast.....

https://houston.craigslist.org/bik/d...295367436.html

Seriously this is the ad title

Biajcue running ad been ke - $125 (Houston)

I don't believe that is a 1964. In '64 the seat post had a checkerboard decal on it. I'm not sure about the emblem on the front either. Plus in '64 the Schwinn Varsity and Continental did not have either a chain guard on the front derailleur, or a metal plate to prevent the chain from coming off the larger sprocket in the back. Those came on the '67 and newer. I think this is probably a parts bike.

But I do need someone to explain that weird ad out of Houston I posted!

Likely a '90/'91 Bianchi Tangent, which was Bianchi's dropbar CX bike at the time and should be fitted with a Suntour XC Comp groupset. It is right below the Equinox in this line similar to its' flatbar counterparts the Project 7, 5, 3. I coincidentally picked up an Equinox today and am super excited to refurbish it back into its' former glory. If it was nearby and my size I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up, they are relatively rare - I believe only produced a handful of years.

That's the second time that's been posted! I had a feeling of deja-vu looking at the component list, which reads like a dog's breakfast of higher tier components.
The signature frame was near the top of the hierarchy though, so the frame should be nice, but not $800 nice.

There's a great number of people with lots of discretionary money; timing is everything. And it's a well finished, nice-looking bike.

Bianchi Veloce Boston for $200

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...295757321.html

This is an all original parts 1994 Bianchi Veloce w/ Campagnolo Veloco full group set

Its a great bike and some very cool history. I got it from a collector in Maine in this condition and am unable to fix it to ride so it will be your win if you want it.

Bike needs new headset, as price reflects.

Contact me with any questions

Venmo or Cash. Thanks

Motobecane Grand Record - $250

Vintage mid 1970s Motobecane Grand Record...1973?
This was found 5 years ago in basement and I have stored it ever since then. From the description I found it appears to be all original. 531 Reynolds double butted frame, Lugs: Nervex Professional, Campagnolo Nuovo Record derailer, 24” frame.

https://westernmass.craigslist.org/b...292222863.html

Looks largely original.

I am tempted to pick it up just because I really want the brakes, but it feels wrong to take apart something that has managed to stay in one piece for so long...

Schwinn Circuit - $550

This is a 1988 Schwinn Circuit road bike at near showroom condition.
Colombus Sl steel frame, Chromed stays and fork. There are a few scratches in paint, but no dents to the frame. I bought the bike from the original owner who was a collector and hadn't ridden the bike for over a decade.
The wheels and bearings are smooth and in great condition, you need nothing but a saddle to ride this amazing bike, only because the saddle pictured fits me perfectly and I cannot part with it.

It's gorgeous and rides amazing. Don't miss out!
