Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, I've seen injuries similar in nature....scars can be very nasty beasts.

There's one guy I knew back in cali who had a rather ugly one on his inner calf, kinda similar to Halimec05's pic, but smaller and really red....I never asked how it happened.

What does it take for the legs to tone? I mean other than alot of riding?
Eat less. Even a really slight guy will look muscular with low body fat.

I agree. Good ole US heathcare. Must have received great care to be cycling after something like that.

Thanks mate, nope.

never actually done a road race, iv been a runner all my life. started cycling to protect my knee's. but havent been able to get on the road due to a shoulder injury following a car acident. the turbo (3-4hrs on that gets rather boring at time) has kept me in good shape, been on the road the last 5 weeks riding faster than before, so fitter, stronger then before, so hopefully a good sesson to come next year.
