Where/how do you mount your taillight?
Quick question: I was wondering how you mount your taillight...
Mine came in with a seat post mount, but it hangs a bit too far off the post to my liking. The other option I have is to hang it off the saddle bag hook, but now the light is kind of dangling and is pointing downwards at a 45 degree angle...
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Due to problems with flickr (expired account and $0 in the bank (I'm unemployed, and have been for 3 years now)) can't show you how I did it, but I can describe it.
I obtained a spare strut for a bike rack from my LBS and bent it to form a "7" (or an upside down "L") drilled a couple of holes in the deck of my bike rack (PB Eco), then used spare bolts and locknuts to bolt the strut to the underside of my rack, making sure that the light wouldn't hit my fenders. Mounted the light, and I'm off and running.

Out of curiousity, what tail light are we talking about? If we knew what kind of mount you're talking about, someone might be able to help you.

I find the saddle bag works well, but perhaps it depends on the type of bag. I also have one on my helmet, which I believe is the more visible of the two.

10Wheels, the pic with 18 rear lights on a bike (if I counted right)... that's just... WRONG.

I counted 17, 8 per side and a rack light in the center- but I like the symmetry. I see lights from NR, PB, and PDW. No doubt puts out some light when they are all on, but the battery management has to a logistical nightmare.

On my Rambouilette road bike, this is how I mount the Dinotte....

In addition to the Dinotte, I mount two cateye LD600s on the chain stays in a vertical position. They can be seen in this pic.

Hope this helps......
