Fyxation Session. Really tough and grippy, but easy rolling. Great tire for shedding on your fixed gear.

Note that the 28c tires run wide, closer to 32mm than 28mm.

An "aero" bike with non-aero wheels, stacked steerer tube and riser stem doesn't look good to me.
Its a Kardashian, Thick while trying not to look thick.
The second one is definitely better.

I love Tiemeyers, but it looks like it's set up for road riding, which I don't really get.

It is set up for the road because I live 4 1/2 hours from the velodrome....how else am I going to train for Nationals? To race it in the velodrome, all I have to do is swap the stem/bars, remove the brake & bottle cages, put on 1/8" gears and aero wheels. Other than doing 2 1/2 - 3 hour interval sessions during the week, I do a 63 mile Saturday morning group ride with speeds from 27-31 mph and a 45 mile Sunday morning group ride with speeds from 27-34 mph. It really pisses off the roadies when I'm on the front pulling the entire ride. Since I upgraded to a new race bike, this one has become my road training machine and back up race bike.

Yeah I just feel like a road bike would make more sense for training on the road. You do you though.

Your cog is slipping.
On the other side of that same coin, I don't get why anyone would want to ride 23mm tires on the street.
I also don't like cooked broccoli, the band KISS or wearing denim pants.

I do as well, and they can be any color as long as they are black. I do have a fat bike, but it has its purpose, and riding on the road is not it.

You're doing it right. It triggers me when people buy fat bikes and full-suspension mountain bikes for exclusive use on paved roads--and then swerve wildly to avoid the slightest hint of imperfection in the pavement.

Agreed about fat tires being for off road.
I enjoy riding efficiently and for road work, thin makes sense and I have bought different sized tires and compared them all conditions being equal and I like as thin. Thin is in!

in real world conditions (potholes, cracks, uneven pavement etc) skinny tires- since they need to be pumped up to higher pressures- are actually less efficient than fatter ones. of course, there is a point where this stops being true, but a 28mm tire at 85psi is more efficient than a 23mm tire pumped to 120.
