Looking for new tires

Hey all I'm looking for a new set of tires. Mine are not that old but are the stock tires that came with the bike and are starting to show some wear. The stock tires are a 700x35 donnely MSO explore. I am going to give this whole tubeless thing a shot when I replace the tires and will most like step up to a 700x40. I am looking at either the WTB ridlers or the continental tera rd. I have a second wheel set I use when I'm riding roads. I use this set if I'm riding a crushed gravel bike path, bike touring, or riding gravel rd. Anyone have any thoughts or other tires I should look into. Thanks

They might be too close to what you already have but I bought a Jamis Renegade last year that came with Donnelly X Plor MSO Tubeless 40mm tires. I only have a few hundred miles on those tires (I did some road touring on that bike with Schwalbe Marathons) but I'm happy with the tires. I did not set them up tubeless, but on the riding on gravel and towpath they have been comfortable and gave good traction.

Those are the tires i have. They came on my 2019 renegade expat. I did like them but I feel they have worn pretty quickly. I am a larger rider at 6ft4 and about 190 so maybe it's just par for the course. I'm really leaning toward the continentals I think the wtb tires would be too much. In run continental gator skin hard shells on my road wheelset and have always been impressed.

Have you looked at GravelKing Slicks or SS Plus? I went from Gators to a smoother (still fast) SS Plus.
