Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The good news is that this idiocy apparently got canceled.

Eventually, though, she'll lift both feet and start to glide. If you want to demonstrate for her, you could use your wife's bike, rather than lower the saddle on yours. Don't get impatient, though, and I wouldn't instruct her, per se - she can watch you a little bit and then figure it out on her own. Take little family walks around the block and have her bring the bike. It might take a while, but when it finally clicks, she'll take off.
cool! I appreciate it. That’s the only thing on my schedule today so hopefully we can get it done. I had her in the garage last night, and just had her “shuffle” while sitting down. A couple times she lifted her feet up but I was more impressed that she would catch her self when she started to fall.

Going on the street today, so there won’t be any barriers in her way.

Showing the forecast from Monday versus the forecast now. Apparently an Alberto Clipper got canceled.

Heh. A word of warning - when I say that it might take a while, I mean that it can take months after introduction until it's a regular thing. I mean, it might happen today, too - you just never know. It's more a matter of "want" than "can." One of our kids, I don't remember which at this point, kind of swore off the balance bike for a month or two. Just be persistent, take lots of walks and bring the bike along. Trips to the colony and the like would be fun.

Oh, and btw, once they get the hang of it, teaching them to stop can be more challenging and stressful than teaching them to go.

Snowing now, but a pleasant 24°. Looks like the temp is going to steadily drop, though, and we'll be sitting in the single digits (some days with a high below 0°A) for the next 4 or 5 days, though. With that in mind, I'm going to let the second coat of paint wait until later and I'm going to get the kids outside for some fun and sledding before we hunker down for a few days.

Winter is okay, as long as there is enough snow to play in.

We get the cold but instead of snow, we get nasty rain.

Your wall mounting solution- where did you get it from? I need more space and want to hang vertically

not Mojo, but harbor freight has these $8.xx bike lifts that are mounted to the ceiling and raises the bike up. Might be a good solution for a somewhat high ceilinged garage/space.

Edit: Found the link:

i. Must be selling well, they’ve increased the price.
ii. Saddle hook placement may not be the best.

Winter is okay with me. But, post-storm sunshine can cause one to do silly things.
