in oakland the kids do the same thing but with tin foil. even better was seeing one of the oakland kids on a tandem with foil disk wheels with no stoker in sight.

if it would actually hold together im sure it would look pretty cool rolling. especially at night.
but, um i dont want to think about what it would do to the ride otherwise.

I definitely approve of this. Pictures of the bike in motion once it's built are the only way to prove how awesome this could be..

I did that to ryands wheel with extra spoke cards from the race he put on. I did it to his front wheel which was 2 cross so I taped them in. needless to say 3 blocks later only 1 was left.

I think it's cool someone found a use for all those ridiculous free discs. My brother is an artist, and he collected a whole bunch of those. Then he made a picture frame round a piece of board, and mounted a head, an arm, and a leg (or parts of) from a mannequin so that it looked like it was stepping through the board. Then he gently heated CD's so that they took the shape of the mannequin, but not hot enough to melt. Looked fantastic - like someone was bursting out through the CDs.

Your bike is screaming "give me attention." Hopefully there's some SS'ers out there that aren't digging for it.

Spoke cards are one thing, but I'd think that CDs would put enough tension on the spokes that your wheels aren't going to be true very long. That's assuming that they're going to stay in place with the crazy glue...
