Why does it seem difficult to find bikes that come with SRAM?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Why does it seem difficult to find bikes that come with SRAM?

I've been looking all over and all the different manufacturers sites, and it seems that nowadays it's hard to find SRAM fitted bikes. Why is that?

When I Google "bikes with sram" I find numerous listings, so I think your assertion is false.

Shimano has higher name recognition and does more advertising.

3 years ago Feel offered the Marine 4.6 with Sram Rival. Sales weren low so they discontinued it the next year.

When I upgraded to a Emonda SLR I had to special order it to get Red.

Well worth it.

Because consumers want cheap.

SRAM is kind of expensive.

I haveSRAM Red on two bikes and Dura Ace on two. I prefer SRAM by far.

Because pushing their components on bike manufacturers is not their business model? Maybe they want to be a brand that discerning people purposefully select for their individual builds and upgrades, rather than the generic original equipment found on indifferent factory builds.
Has anyone asked SRAM?

My wife has been serving black bean pasta lately. Higher in protien and gluten free. It's okay. You can eat more of it and not get that full feeling. While we're on the subject, that is...

Sounds like you need to try Campy to even things out a little. Of course once you go that route....you will never want to go back.

I rode campy in the 70's, 80's and early 90's.

Switched to Dura Ace in around 1993 and never went back.

I considered returning to the fold of the cool kids recently but I just do not like the thumb thingy in the levers.

From a gearing ratio perspective, 1x11 makes no sense to me.

SRAM Red has a stellar mid-cage rear derailleur that paired with a 11-32 and either my 53x38 or my 46x34, it gives me all I need from a TT to touring in the mountains. Does anyone make a better cassette than SRAM? Light, strong, durable althugh not cheap......no plastic like ****maNO. Let me edit that.....Scheiße-MA-NO

I don't know why, but I really don't like spaghetti and red sauce, even if it's good. It's just so ubiquitous. But I love me some freakin' pasta of just about any other variety. In particular: any chicken dish with a white wine or lemon butter sauce.

I also like Dura Ace.

I do like the Campy product and do not see myself making the switch any time soon. With that being said Campy, Sramm, Shimano and even MicroShift make a good product. I parted out and built my bike so I had my choice. I prefer Campy mainly because of the hoods. They simply feel better to me but that is completely a subjective opinion. If I were to buy a complete again bike I would not have a choice and would take whatever it comes with, which probably means Ultegra. Dura Ace is a great product but my wallet and wife would both smack me if I even looked at it.
