Nishiki I need help with identification please
I found a "Yellow and Black" Nishiki on CL yesterday for what I think is a fair price.
Has anyone seen one of these?
https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/2809535664.html
and what can you tell me about it. I thought it would be a good winter project.
Thanks
ARed
I talked with the owner and the FD is a Suntour cyclone Mark II
The BD has been changed out to a Shimano ???

Sounds like a mid eighties le mans. Do a google image search and you should be able to find a match.

I know that the Nishiki Tri-A came in that color scheme. Tange 1 tubing and Shimano 600 equipped I believe?
could be a really good deal for $90

Yes, The owner just confirmed that it is a Tri-A
Would this be a good bike to invest $$$ into?

Good deal, definitely. Is it really a 56cm? Looks like not much headtube, though it's a terrible photo to judge such things from (and the 2-tone paint can be deceiving). That said, I'd probably buy it if I saw it here for $90, and I ride a 62cm...

+1, at $90 a 1987 Nishiki Tri-A is a steal. If you get it, please post pics and the serial number in the Nishiki Serial Number database thread.

I can't believe it's still available. In good condition, the Turbo saddle is worth half the selling price.
