(just kidding. Hope the stress test goes well).
Thanks . I’m not sure how much I can do for now .
I hope to ride a short ride tomorrow and then I’m taking a break for a couple of weeks .
I’ve been splitting up my what little I’ve been riding . Half in the morning and half in the evening. That way I don’t over do it .
I put together a single speed MTB today . 30 tooth chainring, with a 20 tooth rear cog . Spins out around 8 mph and it makes the little hills in the neighborhood a lot easier to spin my way up them .

my birthday was this month, I turned 70 . I wanted to do a 70 kilometer ride for my birthday, but it just didn’t happen . Well , yet . Maybe next month .
Also this was my last ride for June . Hopefully, I’ll be back riding after the fourth .
So with a couple of breaks , I rode 7 miles today . All on the single speed Fuji ..
I swapped out the wheelset for a blue set with a 22 tooth rear cog . Smooth spinning bike . I’m calling this my “Spin-Cycle” . It’s probably best for me until I get through this heart issue .
Neat bike I can just swap out wheelsets for dirt or street .

June goal

Mainly…. To remember where the pedals!

After many years of not riding, I found myself with the opportunity to start riding again. So I did. On June 5th, my Giant FCR3 was road ready. My goal was to take it easy and get used to the bike again. I found that I had to change my saddle. The butt bones a appreciably older now.

We are going through a bit of a hot spell (three days so far over 105) in the Pacific Northwest. So evening rides are out.

Went for a ride at 6 this morning. 12 miles , a few hills, 12.1 mph average. That put me at 118 for the month with two days to go!!!!!

damn, I love riding!

Probably won't ride on the 29th or 30th due to bad weather, so I'll end June with 189 miles, 69 miles less than last year, 8 miles short of 500 for 2021. I'm disappointed, but I've been fighting blood pressure problems and a-fib since my pacemaker insertion last year, and we're still adjusting meds, added a beta-blocker, etc. The last several rides have been very tough. Earlier this year, I was doing 25 miles with one rest stop. I've needed 3 rest stops for the last 4-6 rides or so. I just came from my doc with a new suggestion, so I have high hopes for July.

July goal - 300 miles

Hi everyone,
I'm back but didn't want to post to this thread unless I thought that I could do at least 100 miles.
I got the ok from the doctor to ride the bike on a trainer, that's it. I am relearning how to walk and trying to strengthen the leg muscles and get some muscle memory to have them function together.

Goal over 100 miles
6/8 - 5 miles
6/9 - 5
6/10 - 7
6/11 - 18
6/12 - 11
6/13 - 10

6/15 - 9
6/16 - 5
6/17 - 16
6/18 - 8
6/23 - 11
6/25 - 11

Total 126 miles

Once again, had to wait until the end of the month to post, I miss posting on an almost daily basis.

My goal was 600 miles and I rode 23 times for a total of 530 miles. The rain has been my nemesis this month and again today I failed to ride because its raining here again.

On another note: I turned sixty-five on the 24th and had put a TREK Checkpoint on layaway late last year with the hope it would be in by my birthday and low and behold it was. Probably the last bicycle I will buy and the third bike in my rotation.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I know this thread is old, but just logging my final miles for June after another extended absence. ACK!

June - 71.58 miles - still having back issues and illness in June.

Hope everyone is doing well.
