Is anyone else halting, or thinking of halting their C&V spending?

I haven't spent a lot in the last two years anyway. I bought all the parts for the bikes in the que...
Well, almost. I'm trying to decide if 'restoring' a '65 Schwinn Racer is worth it -- need all new period-correct ribbed brake cables, a new S-A trigger shifter - AND shift cable..., correct grips, pedals -- Or do I try to unload it ...or just donate it... I've already bought new S-6 tires for it (cost me more than the bike!)

I have a 61 Schwinn Racer that I am going to spend more on than its worth but its so much like my paper route bike I get 50 years younger every time I ride it around the block. I have to be careful or I will be in puberty again and my old heart isn't up for that.

Worst timing to get bit by the c & v bug. Easy to justify though cause the gyms are closed and I've cut down on eating out to just 2 days a week to help support my local restaurants. Actually picking up a pug in LA cause gas is relatively cheap. Save for rainy day? Nah, I didnt blow my wad on TP so I'm fine but let me know where to buy some. Supply is low!

Not on parts from on-line sources; shipping time = quarantine time.
In person transactions are out for now, so no new complete bikes from local sources. This is a good time to have a project queue!
The regular time vs. money trade-off is now impacted by health and safety concerns. Now is a good time to dig into those labor-intensive tasks that seem to be less fun than acquiring stuff: cleaning, rust removal, repacking bearings, etc.
I think Gugie has the right idea - clean the shop!
