Either,...but a solid little 16"er would be SPECTACULAR! I'll bet you'll sell out of either size w/an IGH.

Someone needs to bring back the SRAM I - motion 3 and the old Sachs 5 - speed hubs. They've not yet been improved on, afaik. I'm hoping there will be increased demand now.

Any updates on the IGH version? Would it be 16" or 20"?

You posted earlier, trying to get some feedback on the pricing.
For the 20" version with IGH and belt, do you think it's realistic for it to be competitive on pricing with this Downtube 8H at $1099? (downtube.com/8h-internal-hub-belt-drive-folding-bike/)

The range of options for a folding bike with IGH and belt is very limited at the moment, especially at $1000 or under.

Will the 20" model fit a 6' 3" rider? I currently have two Origami Mantis folders, but would consider the 20" IGH/belt drive as replacements in the future.

This thread got quiet. Is the 16-inch-wheel Lotus available now? Is the 20-incher still happening?

Answering part of my own question because I heard from Origami: Lotus is available and comes with fenders, the luggage block and a front bag. That's a good deal!

The 16" model is still the only one available. I was just going to ask Pinigis about the 20" model myself.

We have not moved past the prototype stage on the 20" yet due to the quadrupling of shipping costs and the 25% Trump tax. Hopefully we will get some relief from these in 2022,

I thought that Biden "fixed" the Trump tax, or was that only for large corporations.

We have not seen any relief from it yet. But, I haven't checked in a couple of weeks.

Looks pretty nice. The derailleur looks like it's about half an inch off the ground though ... I'd be worried about hitting a rock/bump/branch etc and damaging it.

The derailleur is actually a couple of inches from the ground, and this has not been an issue at all. you would have to maneuver pretty preciseley to manage to hit rock with derailleur but miss it with the tire and pedal.

On the topic of 20" folders, would Origami ever consider adding a Swift to its menagerie of Gazelles, Wasps, Falcons, Bulls, and Eagles?

Since Xootr gave up the game there's been no mass production variant of this extremely excellent and time tested design. Doing away with the bulky hinge in the middle of the frame is its stroke of genius and it rides stiff, true and fast. The frame is also a bit lighter as a result.

I could totally imagine myself riding on a 4130 chromoly disc brake equipped Origami Swift. It'd be a worthy flagship machine. What would be the drawbacks?

I love the Swift too, but the drawback is the fold as it stands now.

The biggest obstacle would be the fact that Xootr still owns the design. If they are willing to permit us to use it, I am willing to product it. I envision it with an upgraded drivetrain with a wider gear range.

OK, I just contacted Xooter and await a reply.
