285 miles so far in 2015. Would have more but two factors are limiting my mileage:
1.) I am training for a half marathon so running is taking up a good portion of my riding time.
2.) I started mountain biking, an hour of MTBing generates a lot less miles than road/hybrid biking.
Targeting 800 by the end of the year.

Bought a bike that needed fixing, it got stolen bought a brand new one and then had to travel for work.
Sad part is i travel to Amish country Ohio for work and its soo perfect for riding bikes.
To answer your question - i have ridden 6 times with about 10 - 12 miles average. Target is to ride 4-5 hours a week with 40 miles a week. so total target is 1000 miles
Anyone have a good windows phone app to track distance etc. ...
thank you.

45. I learned how to ride a bike on May 10, 2015. Bought my bike on May 11. Practiced on a nice quiet area for two weeks before starting to log miles on MapMyRide Plus.

2,771 miles so far with a goal of 5,000 for the year. I ride almost every day. My longest ride is just over 20 miles.
I track my miles with Endomondo daily. Below are the month totals so far.

So far, I've got about 1,400 miles (including miles put in on the trainer in my basement).

Time constraints are part of life. Kids, homes, spouses, jobs etc, all get in the way. I want to ride again today, but I have to fix a flat on my mountain bike, re-wrap handlebars on the road bike, and clean the gunk and lube up my hybrid. That does not include my other home responsibilities. The main thing is that you are out there whatever amount you can, and that you enjoy it.

Most of it has been since March, yes. But the real point I was getting at is that do what you can do, and it doesn't matter what anyone else does. I meant a couple of groups of roadie's last night (and I was on my road bike), and they would have toasted my a@# if I was riding with them. But I in no way feel bad about it, no more than I feel bad that I can't possible keep up with my friends that run half and full marathons.

I don't count total miles, but I'm sure its on Strava. I just keep track of cardio hours. And fun.

I like to think of myself as a solid 2000 miles a year cyclist. I ride year-round.... but cycling season is May-Sept here. So... 2 months down on a 5 month season has me at 880.45 miles.
I am using Cycle Meter (on an iPhone) to track efforts this year. Compared with monthly stats from previous years I am right on target. The "new" bicycle I bought last 4th of July weekend has 1994.7 miles on it computer/odometer (and I also ride my other bikes).
I've come to the conclusion that the "key" to accumulated mileage isn't commitment or effort... but merely nice weather and decent time and risk management. With the normal real-life requirements on time and attention it take a little logistics to have a life, mow the lawn, and enjoy a nice bicycle ride. Managing risks... to stay healthy and injury-free... is also a make-or-break proposition when it comes to the repeated efforts of cycling.
