Mechanical disc briifters

I have a 2012 Kona Sutra with barcon shifters and, of course, separate brake levers for the mechanical disc brakes.

Freewheel Shimano HG50 11-32 9 spd
F/D Shimano Tiagra
R/D Shimano XT Shadow SGS
Shifters Shimano Bar Con
Brake Calipers Avid BB7 Road
Front Brake Rotor Avid G2 Clean Sweep 160mm
Rear Brake Rotor Avid G2 Clean Sweep 160mm
Brake Levers Tektro RL-340It

If possible, I'd like to change the barcon + brake levers -> combined brifters and it is my understanding (but I'd like to confirm before buying) that Sora 3x9 brifters will work on this setup. I've changed the cassette and chain over the years but always to a 3x9 replacement.

Will Sora 3x9 cable-based brifters work with my mechanical (cable) disc brakes and deraileurs?

Thanks

Shimano road brifters [& I assume Sram] should be fine,
Campag's Brake levers, FWIW, have an even greater MA, so pull less cable..

I found I like the feel of TRP HyRd cable-hydro calipers better, at least on the front , vs Avid BB7..

My Sora 3X9 brifters work fine with my mechanical road disk calipers.

I have a 2006 Schwinn SS DBX with 4500 Tiagra groupset, including brifters, and Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes. It all works fine. I believe with the mechanical disc brakes, the cable pull is the same as calipers and bar ends.

Another option for brake/shifters. https://www.gevenalle.com/product/cx2/ o
Or if you want to save $40 you can order this setup without the shifters and MAYBE your current bar end shifters can be transferred (Gevenalle would know). https://www.gevenalle.com/product/audax/

I like the idea of these brakes/calipers but TRP doesn't offer brifter levers. Might the Sora (or any other matching cable-actuated) lever work with these cable-hydro calipers?

That's the basic idea . it's an integrated hydraulic brake within the caliper itself..

You just use whatever brifters you like with cable actuated brakes, cable just pulls the actuating lever on the brake,
which works the Master cylinder pushing fluid to the 2 Slave cylinders, on either side of the disc..
so your Sora should be fine.. they had Shimano in mind, being the dominant component OEM supplier.

I have Avid Speed dial brake levers on mine..

Givenalle puts a shift lever on the front of a modified TRP Hydraulic brake levers..
