im new enough to fixed gears and i have velocity wheels and am a bit lost .

would a 35c tyre fit on this rim and what are the sizes that will fit these rims ,
also for a freestyle fixed gear what would be the best wheels to get

you might want to check tricktrack but ill do the best i can.

35c's should work on regular deep vs.

you should look into some velocity p35/chukkers for tricks, theyre wider for bigger tires and generally have more spokes. more spokes is good.

thanks man youve helped me there , i have b43s ? im not sure i just got them off some guy.
so are chukkers or p35 better for what im aiming for

B43s are slightly wider than the Deep V, but not nearly as wide as the chukkers. If you dont have a plan for the B43s they should be easy to resell and pick up the chukkers if thats what you decide on. The only other rim I know of that really popular for tricktrack is a halo rim. But Im no expert.

tricking has evolved into basically fixed bmx. get a bmx or ride 700c with skinnyish tires.

Just because you guys arent into the fixed freestyle thing, you dont need to rip on some one that is. Why cant he ride a bike in a different way than you, or the bmx?

chukkers are heavier duty than deep v's. i'd get chukkers.

i actually did ride bmx for a while and one day got on my friends fixed gear and just thought wow this is so much better. ive been on a track bike for a while now aswel and i still mess around and do tricks. the ability to ride fixed gear and do the same tricks that can be done on a bmx is a good one and from looking on youtube trick/freestyle fixed gears are quite a well known thing.dont hate

@cc700 i cant really afford the chukkers right now so the b43s are they alright for jumps and things like that

Every where I have looked onlike the chukkers and B43s are similarly priced. And even if they weren't it would make much, much more sense to wait and save up more to get the proper tool, rather than drop up to $300 on something that wont work nearly as well.

I would seriously opt for some 26" rims; stronger wheels in general and tires could be cheaper, however, it'll increase the chance of striking pedals and that could be ugly.

im currently on a peugot frame but im in the process of building my trick fixie, for that i have a brick lane trick frame and thats the one i will be using

its either that or a shop 14 esb frame , theyre the easiest for me to get my hands on. if anyone can recommend any other good trick frames go ahead

If you want more insight and all that go to tricktrack, but some of us here try to help best we can. The All City might not be too hard for you to get over there since they are distributed through QBP. It has a lot of loyal followers and is very well designed.

I wouldn't trick on a Peugeot. It isn't meant to handle that kind of stress. Someone on the forums here said they broke the seat stays on their Peugeot doing whip skids...
