Crankset combability

I want to change the crankset of my tern gerge d9 folding bike. the bike has got a Shimano 11-36T 9spd casette. I want to change crankset with a new Shimano Nexus C6000 which is compitable with G 8-speed (1/2 inch x 3/32 inch) chain. Do you think there will be a compatibility issue about the chain?

The inner width of an 8 speed chain is the same as the 9 speed chain's, so they fit the same teeth the same way. Andy
