Ambrosio GdI rims on Chorus (I think) hubs.

One of Bianchi Reparto Corse 999 Bikes.

This is one of 480 Factory Racing Department Built Bianchi Team Bikes.
999001 to 999480 from 1953 to 1968. Each frame was made for one particular rider.
This one was made for an Italian rider who raced in Giro d’Italia and Tour de France in 1962. He won one stage at Giro. The bike was hanged up on the wall after the race and it sat there until recently.
Now it is on display at Eroica Cafe at Brolio, Gaiole in Chianti, Italy.

My first Bianchi build . Not finished , but rideable . Actually rides better that I expected with the clincher 19mm "O"rings , haha . I have a proper set of wheels / tubulars I'm going to have built . I think I might have to keep this one as I kinda' blew the budget , and I'm getting a little tired of hearing mswesti ask "how much did you lose on that one ?"

My new to me '96 San Remo. Tore it down, built it back up and cleaned, lubed and polished everything. Added new bar tape, cables & celeste housings on the stock 8sp Mirage triple setup(almost no wear), "new" old chorus seatpost and new selle smp saddle. Cheap MKS sylvan pedals for a retro mod look, got campy toe clips & leather straps on the way. Shifts buttery smooth for a 20+ year old lower end campy ergo.

Circa 1990-1994 Bianchi Genius

I had to sell my vintage Bianchi Genius this year due to its size 55 frame being more stretched than I could handle in my late 30s vs. my mid 20s. It had a Shimano 600 groupset and a Campy front crank.

1998 Bianchi Campione

I wrecked a 2002 Trek 2200 after being t-boned by a car a month ago (fortunately, not hurt but rear of bike frame was toast). I salvaged the partial Ultegra groupset (with 105 brakes) and found a used 1998 Campione frame. The previous owner put on an Easton carbon fork and Chris King headset along with a repaint. I’d prefer all original but this one is not bad besides some overboard placement of decals. It used a Dedacciai steel frame which seems a bit stiffer and less springy than my previous early 90s Bianchi Genius tubing. I believe the Campione was a lower to mid-tier frame in 1998.

I added a Selle Anatomica H2 seat which is definitely not for weight weenies but it’s quite comfortable. I also bought Mavic Kysrium UST wheels and Vittoria gum wall tires. The drop bars and stem are Bontrager from the Trek. My goal is to eventually install a Campy Chorus groupset in a year or two.

1989 Axis & 1996 Super Grizzly RC

I have four Bianchi's, but these two are my favorites. The Axis was a frame-up rebuild including paint and decals, while the SuperGriz RC was a frame-up rebuild, minus the fresh paint and decals (this bike will be used as intended, so "touch-up" paint has been and will be used as needed.) Interestingly, the hardtail SuperGriz (Dedacciai Zero Uno) with suspension fork weighs about a pound less than the Axis (Bianchi Superset), 24.2# vs. 25.7#

Today I finally took some images of my rebuilt Bianchi that I'm getting SUntour Cyclone components for. So far I have Cyclone derailleurs and clamp-on downtube shifters, Cyclone crankset and Cyclone brake levers. the pedals are a Cyclone look-a-like pair that I bought new just a couple of weeks ago. I'm currently in negotiations for a used pair of Cyclone pedals similar to the ones I have on the bike now. The silver frame-fit pump by the seatube has an old steel presta valve fitting Campagnolo head.

Btw, this bike was literally saved from the dump as the original owner was going to scrap it after he hit a stopped car and bent the toptube and the downtube a bit at the headtube. I put wheels on the bike after he gave it to me and I then rode it in the parking lot of my building and was able to ride it no-hands even at slow speed. the bike rides and handles like a dream and has become one of my most favourite bicycles. When I got it I think it just had the Cyclone derailleurs on it.

I like those Shimano Adamas AX brake calipers but will put Cyclone brake calipers on the bike if I find the calipers at a to me good price.

Cheers
