Park Tool BBT18

How do I adapt this thing to a torque wrench?

https://www.parktool.com/products/det...25&item=BBT-18

The best I have been able to find is a 1.5" socket. The oct to hex seems to have a decent grip with this combo, but I am skeptical.

Thanks.

Easiest way is to get another tool - one with either a hex shape or a 1/2" drive fitting.

Second best is to try to use the mismatched socket. Who knows, it might work.

Most correct tool-guy way is to use a wrench extender. It looks like an open-end wrench on one end and takes a 1/2" (or whatever) drive on the other. Since the lever arm is longer you'd have to recalculate the torque value. I don't know where to get one (for cheap). Sorry, they're not a common tool.

Most basic correct way is to use an open-end wrench and calculate the required force needed from the length of the lever arm. Then apply that force perpendicular to the wrench, for instance with a spring scale.

Or go by feel.
