I was thinking about the term "weight weenie" as it applies to cyclists who are paranoid about shaving every ounce of extra weight, and it occurs to me that there might be other sorts of "weenies" out there, such as:
Safety weenie - This is me. Always wearing more blinkers, high-visibility/protective clothing etc. than necessary, walking the bike across busy intersections as a pedestrian, riding during off-peak hours to reduce traffic risks. Safety preparations threaten to take longer than actual ride.
Alt-utility weenie - Why buy pricey panniers when you can strap a couple of styrofoam coolers to your rear rack?
Authentic Coca-Cola milk crates only, thank you very much.
Accessories weenie - Must own every possible accessory that can be attached to a bicycle, preferably in multiple colors to suit your mood that day. Whether you actually need it, or it actually does anything, is irrelevant.
Stats weenie - Cadence, mph, distances and other statistics are what it's all about. there was a bike ride in there somewhere
Frankenweenie - Stock bikes are just sources for parts to feed your own unique creation. A minor variation of this might be the tweak weenie who lives in an endless loop of "My bike will finally be perfect with just one more minor alteration...." (I am developing symptoms of this.)
N+weenie - Must own at least 50 bikes. Has no idea why.
What other categories spring to mind, just for the goofy fun of it?

This is an interesting thread so I will contribute.
I guess I have phases of different kinds of bikes. Phase winnie? Different bikes for different uses and different stages of my life.
I raced, so I had race bikes (road and MTB, but have none left since I no longer race)
Also had a utility bike with a trailer when i didn't own a car.
Recumbents (LWB CLWB High Racer FWD Trike... still have a few)
Velomobiles - (Quest and I built an Alleweder for my wife)
Unicycle (still ride it now and then, mostly to see if I still can)
Mini Velos (one is fixed and so much fun, my son took it to college)
Fixed gear bikes (my current phase -1 townie and one English tourer with fenders and dyno lighting)
Fatbike for winter
Folding bike for traveling
Touring bikes (Will probably get rid of them since I do more day trips and Sub 24 overnites and ave other bikes i prefer for that like the English tourer)
Beach Cruiser (soon to be gone)
I don't consider myself strictly N+1 because I do get rid of bikes if I don't ride them and i am certainly not a collector.

That's me. If I could find the perfect bike for me that didn't require me to make any changes or modifications I'd HATE it! I'd rather start with a water pipe frame and a big box of dumpster dive parts.

Strava weenie. You know you just have to log on to see what KoM you've achieved on your just-completed ride. I am not one.
Climbing weenie. Altitude gain means more than your average speed. I am sort of one.
Car-free weenie. The fundamentalists hate cars, but the more realistic do it for a variety of reasons. I was one of the latter for over a decade (and miss being one more often than I care to admit).
Tool weenie. The more tools, the better. Even if they are used only once, ownership is key. I am sort of getting there.
Jersey weenie. Five in the wardrobe is half way to being one. Twenty is worthy of sainthood.
That's all for now.

Recumbent weenie. The one who says he doesn't care what other people think, yet shoves into every conversation possible why diamond frame riders should be riding bents.

Cold weenie, at least when it comes to road riding. I don't mind multiple/heavy layers when touring, but I absolutely hate having to put on things like heavy gloves, leg warmers, a base layer and booties for road rides. I hate it even more when I start out in the cold and then have to shed layers as the day warms up. At least when I am touring I have places to put all that extra clothing other than in my jersey pockets, so I don't end up looking like a friggin' camel by the end of the ride.

I must be a conveenience weenie. I like to get on a ride, do my thang and get back with max convenience and min hassle.
Symptoms on conveenie-weenie are using IGH, dynamo lighting, reverting to platform pedals, pining for a belt drive.
