Alternatives to Aerospoke wheels?
Hi mates,
I want to change the wheels and I was thinking to buy Aerospoke wheels, I love their aesthetics however I would like to know another brands with similar wheels in order to be able to make a good decision

Last couple of bikes I've gotten, have seriously considered aero spoke wheelset. For my road bike they were heavier and not as smooth feeling as the traditional wheelset I got. My LBS suggested they had not seen a higher level of reliability among aerospoke wheels. They do seem popular with fixie or SS bikes and those wanting a colored wheel.

Just to be sure you're talking about Aerospoke the brand right ? - not about wheels with flat bladed "aero" spokes?
If so, there is a fixed/single forum and the people there may know more about them and any alternatives.
I also like the look but personally don't have any experience with them.

HED tri spoke. Prepare to pay. 
I had an Aeropoke on my single speed bike. It was alright for what it was. They are fairly heavy, but if that doesn't bother you, I say go for it.

While that is a great setup, the visual effect that it gives off is not matched to the Aerospoke. I think that it is the major draw to that wheel to be honest. If you are comparing wheel to wheel as far as build quality, you have it beat, but if you are comparing looks, the Aerospoke will stand out much more. I will say this about the Aerospoke that I had, it offered a really stiff ride and you could feel every imperfection in the road on it.

When I rode BMX as a kid, I always had Skyway Tuff Wheels. I've often wished they would make bomb-proof 700c and 26" wheels. To this day, a set of 20" Tuff Wheels is still less than $100.

The thing with Aerospokes is that they're not really that aero. You can get a much more aero and lighter wheel for cheaper with conventional spokes. And it will ride better and be more durable.
But if you want that look? Aerospokes or spinergys it is. Just realize there are reasons you don't see them in the TdF.

Aren't you a bit late with that? My 14-year old daughter went through a phase about 6 months ago when she was using "m8" all the time and once even went so far as to make sure I knew that when it sounded like she was saying "mate" she was really saying "m8". Then there was a transitional period when she used (and said!) "m9" a lot but that quickly gave way to "m24/3" and other variants. I tried to sell her on "m1000" but she didn't like it. Mercifully, the whole thing went away in time.

Back when I was in high school in the 90's I was obsessed with the look of 3-spoke "trio" wheels on cars. Then I saw the Spinergy 3-spoke bike wheels and I dreamed of having them, but of course it was just way too much money. Plus I wasn't riding all that much back then.
A local guy has a "Ye Olde" Trek Y-frame full suspension MTB in yellow, with 26" Spinergy carbon rims. It's quite the sight for sure.
Besides the weight, I wouldn't use them for the fact that you can't really true them at all.
