Shimano Ultegra crank arm install question
Hello - I have a Cervelo S5 in which I'm converting to a Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset. I purchased these adapters from Wheels Mfg to go from BBright to Shimano 24mm spindle:

The issue I'm having is there doesn't seem to be enough spindle exposed for the crank arm to sit on such that the stopper plate pin does not line up with the hole. Does this look off to anyone? Is the adapter too wide on the drive side (I'm not using any of the supplied shims)? Does any of this matter - just tighten up the pinch bolts properly and leave the stopper plate in the "up" position? Don't want the crank arm to fall off while on a ride.

That's not right. Don't know what's wrong but the spindle needs to extend at least past the pinch bolt.

Do I see a gap on the drive side? Is it possible that if you take the pre-load nut and start snugging it up that it will buy you a bit more spindle exposure so that the plastic shim drops into the hole like it is supposed to?

It looks like I have the same amount of spindle as shown in this pic, but the hole is no where close to lining up with the stopper plate pin:
I have tried snugging up the cap bolt and then tightening down the crank arm, but stopper plate still can not be pushed down. I'm waiting to hear back from wheels mfg - maybe I have the wrong adapter?
