Bottecchia Annabella Folding Bike
Hi,
was perusing Offerup and saw 1970s Bottecchia folding bike for $100. Unfortunately I can't post pics because I haven't reached 10 posts yet (working on that as we speak).
Anyway, it looks good on the photos, just was wondering if the experts could give me a some info on this bike.
Thanks,
Alton.

Does the frame look like this style?
Not a Bot but does the frame share characteristics with yours?

My Cinzia was made by an Italian company still in business. It was their high end model but as you can see, it was not in great shape when I got it for free. Might indicate that your folder was not made by Bot but by someone else. A lot of companies used this very same style of frame.
My short take, if you really WANT it and it is in SUPER condition go get it. If not throw him a lower number but be prepared to do some work with oddball components.

3speedslow thanks for your help, I think I am going to pass on this one. I think I will go look at some Folding Raleigh 20s.

Love my R20! Work is usually required to get them roadworthy. Mine required little but some dressing up.
1979 model made for the English market.

That is a lovely shade of blue, I'd love to see that bike fully set up with wheels, etc. The rear pannier frame will make it less portable but I bet it makes the bike really stable and is a boon for carrying stuff. I'm going to respray a folder soon and I think that a blue colour like that would be really nice.
