So, who's the dappest then? Certainly not me. I'll mix and match, largely because I'm quite fussy about what shorts I wear but the rest is just utilitarian. The most I do is make some attempt to colour coordinate, but I wouldn't let it bother me. I also don't mind about showing brand names.

Yeah, I like to spread the love. No reason for one company to get all of my money. If there was a flag-pole on my lawn, I'd have 5 or 6 different flags flying.

Personally I don’t mind branding. It helps in determining the likely quality of a product. For example if I buy genuine Assos shorts I know for certain they are going to be of high quality. This even applies to simple cotton T-shirts. The best fitting and finest cotton shirts I own are all from reputable quality brands.

I do wear hi- viz colors. Other than that though, I try to dress as plain/ordinary as possible. It helps to not attract attention from the sort that will mess with a cyclist. The flashier you are, the more likely you might get hit with a Big Gulp.

And I don’t think something like the little “PI” on my bibs or the small Rapha marks on my jerseys constitute billboards. Then are akin to the relatively small logos on my Subaru.

How are these billboards?

The logos are usually reflective. They serve a purpose other than branding. Important in low visibility conditions. I run at night and always have one of these on.

I grab whatever is on top of the pile (and not in the hamper) and weather appropriate, and it could be from several different brands.

Yep, whatever is available/clean and matches colours somehow so quite often black Fox shorts (they are longer than most) and black Loose Riders jersey or black/grey camo Specialized jersey is my favourite,
crash pads from Race Face

Do I mix and match? In one word: Always.

I buy from several different sources and like to mix it up.

I'm not sure why this old thread got revived, but...

Sometimes yes, but usually no. For the most part, I tend to buy a jersey and bibs together, and tend to wear them that way. There are exceptions.

Thank you for finally chiming in! I have been constantly refreshing this thread for over half a year just to know if you mix clothing brands or not.
Ugh, I have such a headache from not sleeping.

buy on sale mostly

I pretty much stick to Voler bottoms (have on Assos got on sale) find the $$ worth it Always Black

Jerseys is stick to Voler and Aerotech.... depending on sale and color choice...I like having hi-vis green/yellow so depends on who has them

I did get an Ornot Magic shell jacket on sale....pricey even on sale but work great

If I have ever been matching regarding cycling attire, it was mere coincedence.

I'd also like to add to my earlier post (#30) that I almost always buy when on sale. Therefore, none of my kit will match.

Usually would not care but my Endura bibs and SS jersey really fit me great in an XL so if it works and it is the same brand, so be it!
