Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike share bikes tend to be heavy beasts of burden. They are after all comfort bikes that will get abused by all and sundry. Presumably they get some maintenance on a semi-regular basis, but they are designed to be as robust as possible and damn the weight.

After all if you want a light bike, buy your own.

I touch up some paint areas and a day or two later, I see some more. Then the sun comes out and I see the windows need washing. I've replaced the guts in one toilet, changed out the check valve in the sump pump, replaced the globe on the hall light, replace some ceiling tiles in the utility room, cleaned out the fireplace and polished the fireplace doors, cleaned out the attic, hauled a bunch of stuff to storage locker, spackled holes in the walls, replaced a couple outlets, added mulch to a rock garden, and on and on and on and I still have a list a page long.

My wife said a little while ago, "You know, this place is looking pretty spiffy. Maybe we wont move."
When we moved from Delaware to New York, Mrs. rjones28 moved first and stayed behind to get the house ready to sell. After I got it ready to go, she saw that state of things and said something similar.

Between the general hassle of moving and the transaction costs, we decided that our next move will be when I retire. My wife is already retired .

There's a steepish hill nearby. I wonder if I could conquer it with a beast?

I think that's what they call a vagal maneuver. Blowing into the straSomehow stimulates the vagus nerve.

It's good they didn't need to do a cardioversion (where they stop and restart the heart).

(I'm no doc, @datlas will probably correct everything I've said).

Vagal maneuver seems to sound correct. They said there are some nerves in the legs that can trigger the heart the maneuver resets the electro portion of the heart.

SVT is a nuisance but not a life threatening heart rhythm problem.

Best treatment to break is are what we call “Vagal maneuvers.” Some are more unpleasant than others.

I like the idea of a super hero name. I'll have to work on that.

I felt better yesterday after everything stabilized. More than anything, I've been tired yesterday and today.
