Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

the entire Sea and Cake catalog is pretty great, as well as the two Sam Prekop solo releases, perfect for the warm spring weather on the way (someday?)...

Lol...Guess that makes sense. Over the last week or so both Sea and Cake and Tortoise have occupied my playlists. Guess I'm on a Chi-town kick. Anything else I should put in there?

Has anyone else been suckered into buying a "Swearing at Motorists" album, just because of the cool name?

I like the Sea and Cake too, but they get kind of boring after repeated listens. Personally I've had Neko Case on heavy rotation in anticipation of her show on the 30th. That and
-Minutemen
-Akron/Family
-J Dilla
-the new Cat Power
-As Heard on Radio Soulwax: Two Many DJs. The Beyonce track on this mix is HOTT.
-This American Life ripped off the 'net
-Ohmega Watts (still)
-Ry Cooder soundtracks

Motown singles for breakfast

misc pop and grindcore on the way to work

Fruit Bats wasn't the thing, so went for some black metal.

Then my ears hurt, so I went for some Railroad Jerk. Mmmmm, that first record's a good one, I love the guitar sound and the recording on the drums.
