Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ode to the Almighty CAAD9

I gotta Cannondale,
You know I gotta yell,
“I dropped some carbon trash”
Didn't even ring my bell

Creep on a two one Trek
And I say what the heck?
As I blow by, I say:
“Nice girlie metal fleck”

Saw a Cervelo
On top, a gangly fellow
And when I streak past,
I say “Your legs are Jello”

Mr. Lynskey rides up
On the local MUP
So I put the pedal to the metal
And tell the CAAD to “Giddyup”

I gotta Cannondale,
You know I gotta yell,
“I dropped some Ti trash”
Didn't even ring my bell

FYI...Cannondale is stockpiling these frames in Bedford, so they will be available for a long time after production stops.

I wouldn't talk. At least Cannondale doesn't call their aluminum frames anything other than aluminum. Take that, Mr. Scandium!

Sign up for a nice fast crit somewhere in your area. Once you're done puking, report back.

Put some music to this (something fast and "punky"), post it on YouTube, send link to Cannondale letting them know. Hopefully their marketing people could promote it on social networks (sneaky *******s that they are) and cause it to go viral...you never know, they just might give you another one.

Easton named the tubing Sc7000, scandium aluminum mix.

Not sure why I shouldn't "talk". This is a forum after all

Don't knock the haiku'ing. I was on a roll one day and my 11 year old walked in and said...

I was counting syllables on my fingers.

Yup, around here they breeze down doing ~20mph to wherever it is they go. Saddles inches too low, no handed, tires buzzing and chains squeaking... Once in a while they greet each other with a wheelie, but IDK what that's about
