Shakedown night ride just to see how everything was working. That is just the flash from my iPhone lighting up the reflective strip on the tires. You should see what it looks like when a car does it.

Thanks!! I thought so as well when I found out that my friend was selling it. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bi...xcompact/37229
I made a few small changes to it, like removing the cross levers and only running the brifters like a road bike. One of the things I like aside from the finish is the fact that the graphics on the bike are very subdued. You barely know it is a Specialized unless you happen to see the name on the top of the down tube. Even that is a silverish/gray.

Pre-alley cat.
The Heavy Pedal sponsored "Suffer Cat" here in Denver yesterday. It was close to 100º, Strava said it was juts over 30 miles. 7 checkpoints. Quite a bit of climbing. I was dead by the end.

Up with the sun on Sunday morning. 37 miles of gravel and back home before 8 AM and the entire family was still asleep when I returned.

Here's my Strava Route. Don't laugh at the incredibly low average. I had to get off and walk a few blocks up a hill. The sun, heat, and fact I hadn't ridden a bike in 3 weeks really took a toll on me.

Getting out to my neck of the woods, almost passed chez moi.
I ain't done any alley-catting since 2007 Road Rash Bash..might need to jump back into one again.

Man, that looks fun..! but the heat would have ****ing killed me. Ha, ive never ridden on the east side other than the cherry creek trail and a little bit of DT -- I live in the west side!
Something I was NOT ready for. Basically everything was West of I-25, which I've never ridden before. Hell, I've never even driven over there. I was completely lost and out of my element. I live in Aurora, work down in Parker. My rides typically involve taking 12th to SIE Film Center.
Here's my Strava Route. Don't laugh at the incredibly low average. I had to get off and walk a few blocks up a hill. The sun, heat, and fact I hadn't ridden a bike in 3 weeks really took a toll on me.
