Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Picked up some shoes, pedals, and a power meter for my gravel bike (I do wish Stages offered a GRX option). I had originally planned to use my road shoes/power meter pedals, but quickly discover that that was a bad idea.

Got a K-Edge Combo forward mount for my Wahoo Elemnt, plus a Trek/Bontrager Universal mount for the Ion 200 RT light. Got tired of having that rubber band mount on my handlebars.

Works a treat and feels much cleaner now!

Picked up an Axiom rear rack for the e-bike. Just finish installing the fenders and the rack.
Fenders got a bit bent in two spots for rear and one spot on front during the shipping - just installed since functionality is what matters.
Front fender (no pic) back side was too high, so rotate a bit back and for that have to open some holes and move the hardware that attaches to the fork.

new rear cassette, front chain rings, bottom bracket, chain, handlebar tape and brake cable housing. It's time for major overhaul.

I believe Stages does offer a GRX option.

They only have the "factory install" option, and I wanted the power meter be a separate arm, incase I decide to go with something else/sell it.

I have the same setup with my Garmin/Ion 200 RT/K-Edge & Universal mount and really like it.

No harm done, but it could have gotten ugly caught in a standard rigid mount front fender. It's almost impossible to avoid sticks, twigs, construction debris, etc, in some areas I ride.
update. These are great! I don’t even notice them while ridin. No rattles, nice and light and easy to adjust if you want to change up the clearance to the tires. The only downside is the Velcro attachments will show on different sized frames. They happen to show a lot on mine, making it look like they’re mounted incorrectly, which is not very appealing. Not a deal breaker for me, but I could see it being a big deal to some.
I have about 25 miles on them over several rides, including a wet ride. They do the job and keep the bike clean. And I’m happy with them.
You can see what I mean about the Velcro in the pics below.

Sounds good, thanks for the update! I'm not picky about how stuff looks. My bikes show I have zero sense of style for color coordination or anything. Those fenders should do the trick for occasional use.

Strolled over to my LBS after my morning ride to buy some brake pads for my Giant Defy. Really wanted Shimano but came away with Clarks. Also purchased a 5 x 5mm spacer set in a gorgeous anodized green colour to begin to personalize my Cannondale Optimo. LBS discount paid for the spacers - sweet!

Unrelated to the rims, I just noticed the lock ring wrench on the peg board. I have the earlier generation of that, a Hozan wrench bearing the words "Rock Ring Wrench," the finest example of Japangrish committed to functional metal. I only intended to borrow it but when I saw the markings I had to buy it from the fellow, who had more than one.

Picked these up to match the mango king hubs for my wife. Really impressed by these for being an aluminum rim. At 25mm wide and 28mm deep these have a really nice profile, feel like they'll build up stiff and both came in well under advertised weight at 445g each. Not far off from an old open pro for a much sleeker rim, I'll be buying myself a set when the time comes.

I finally put an end to my "which tires?" hand-wringing and ordered some of the new Schwalbe Pro One Tubeless in 28mm. They're supposedly more durable and longer wearing than the previous generation, while being even more supple - I hope that's truly the case.

Interesting, but with my huge 41" chest I'd need something like a XXXXL size per their size chart -- which they don't go up to.

Got the last piece of R7000 silver group set delivered today.
50/34T 160mm crankset to go with 11-34T cassette (Looking forward to see if there will be much difference with the 165mm cranks I have today)
Didn't get the brake calipers since I have an idle 5800 on my bin.
Going to rebuild the Tri-A with this new bits
