Disassembling? A bike? Just dump it in the materials recycler, and pass me another beer.

For years, I've been in the habit of putting a business card inside the seat post and bottom bracket shell as an additional means of proof of ownership. I can see someone calling the number that used to be mine . . .

I think I'll start sliding fortune cookie style messages into the frames also. Maybe witty bicycle related quotations.

How did the tops of the brake handles manage to get ground down? Why is the chain ring bent?

That's nice they wrote the colour code on the steer'er tube.

And just thought a note left in the seat tube about the bikes history would be great.

Why is there only 6 cogs on the back, why did he put the weird shifters on the downtube and why did he drill holes in the brake levers and run the cables so high through them. Also, where did he find 700cx23 tires? I had no idea they made them that skinny.

They’d scratch their heads, look around at the various 2 wheeled recumbents and wonder, “maybe she had a back problem?” Then they’d see the two modified R20’s And wonder, “Huh”. Then they’d see all the tools and bike specific implements and wonder, “Maybe she was making money on the side doing bike maintenance.”

Then they’d smile and say, “That Sandra was a smart and creative woman”.
