Clamp-on top tube cable guides for a road bike

Did and/or does any company manufacture stainless steel guides, or are all chrome-plated?

I am vain and need my top tube clips to say either simplex, Campagnolo, or dura ace, depending on the bike.

Unless someone were doing a restoration of a classic bike, I don't know why anyone would want something like that.

Given that this is the C&V forum, I do not understand your comment.

They're not bad, but they are
a) plain, very plain; the finish is dull, and the piece is only stamped - you don't have the little gussets formed at the screw eye ends, for instance.
b) thick - clearly thicker that Campag/Reg/Huret/etcetera.

Yes they are available. Dia Compe for sure. Tektro sells some too I think. Make sure you order 25.4 mm!! (assuming that's what you need) I accidentally ordered 28.6 a few years back, not realizing that they would even make this size -- a size that did not exist when top tube cable clips were used.

I think that they are mostly stainless now, since it has become cheaper from a production standpoint.

Good deal. They local, I know the guy, he almost always ships same or next day when he gets the order. Mostly he sells framebuilding stuff (tubing, lugs, braze-ons flux and brazing wire), but he also has some odds and ends that you don't need a torch to use. I just picked up some dropout adjuster bolt sets.
