Racing road bicycles - $100 (Myrtle Beach)

(There are many more thumbnail unhelpful photos, but I'm not posting them.)

"2 racing road bikes and shipping case
Bertoni and Univega Grand sprint S

Selling for a friend so I am not knowledgable about them. Guessing they are 10+ years old but he said they were the real deal stuff. I just want them gone. The case is worth way more than the ask by itself. Call Don 864-316-9550

electric assist: none
frame size: unknown
handlebar type: aero

That is a smoking deal for that as group. The case might not get $100 but someone could flip the bikes and case and get a tidy profit.

That looks like it should fit you well then! I say outfit it however you want. I've never priced vintage Campy but I bet it's not cheap.

1980's Vitus 979 - $425 (Loveland)

"This is a genuine Vitus 979 from the 80s. Complete with gold anodized tubing and a full Shimano 600 groupset. Recently replace tires and grip tape to breathe some life into it, and make it look good. Everything is in working order, I took it for a few rides recently and its as good as ever.

If you aren't familiar, this is a revolutionary bike for the time. One of the first aluminum bikes. It will give modern bikes a run for their money on weight, and unlike modern aluminum, this one was designed to be comfortable. The engineered flex allowed Sean Kelly to win the Green Jersey at the Tour de France 4 times across the dreaded cobble stones. Read more here:
https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/l...tus-979-194179

As stated before it has Shimano 600 group set, so 2x6 with down-tube shifters. The breaks have plenty of life on them. The tires have about 100 miles on them, so plenty of life left. The Vittoria Corsa wheels alone are $150 for the pair. Grip tape was replaced for the photos, keeping it looking clean. Chain has been cleaned and re-lubed recently and passed a stretch check.

I am about 5'9" and the bike fits comfortably. The ride is an old school race position, but I found it to be quite comfortable to just hang out on the drops. Very first time I took it for a ride on the bike path I passed a group of cyclists and one of the guys yelled out "nice Vitus!" This will turn heads in a good way, those that like shiny bikes and those that have been around a while who know cool bikes. There are a few stickers missing, but there are a few places I found online that sell replica sets if you wish to fully restore the factory fresh look.

Please email or text me. If you call, I'll think you are spam and send you to voice mail. My asking price is $425."
This is close to me if anyone is smitten.

Not My Bike - Too Distant For Me To Facilitate

Fuji Team Road Bike, Large, 12 Speed - $150 (Holly Springs)

Posted 2020-06-20 14:11

"This is a Fuji road bike. The model is 'Team'. It's a vintage bike with friction shifters (not index). The frame is large, 58cm, quadruple butted, chromoly steel. The bike size, large, will work for someong 5'8" to 6'2", depending on leg length. The first pic below has the saddle set for someone 5'8". Picture #4 shows the seatpost extened to its maximum height and will accommodate a taller person with longer legs. The shifters and derailleurs are Suntour friction, 12 speed, downtube shifters. The brakes are Dia Compe with Shimano Exage aero levers and Shimano brake pads. The wheels are 700C, Araya, double wall with a small aero type crown with Vittoria tires. The chain has been checked and verified to be within specification using a Park chain checker. The paint has some scratches and chips but there are no dents. All the mechanical components are working well and need no repair. The bike is in good condition and is ride ready. I just took this bike out to the American Tobacco Trail for a couple rides so I know it's working well.
Cash only.
If interested you can reach me by text or e-mail.
