Campagnolo Record Clipless pedals early 90's (Look)

SOLD
Pair of Look-style Record clipless pedals - I think model # is PD-12RE. Surfaces are pretty scuffed, but the pedals function fine. $20 shipped within US. Proceeds benefit MoBo Bike Co-op in Cincinnati.

When the SGR pedal was acknowledged to be dead and Campagnolo still wanted to have Campy pedals in the peloton... even if they spoke French.

its ok, Shimano had to as well for a time

Well, if it's a moving part, especially one with bearings, then Campagnolo has to make a superior version, right? I'm kidding, but I have always wondered why got out of the seatpost game, and never bothered with stems and bars (as far as I know).

Campagnolo DID have patent applications for various mechanisms buried in handlebars, shift, hydraulic actuators.
So, Yes, they were thinking.
For a long time I thought Campagnolo had a "gentleman's" agreement with Cinelli, Regina, and the Italian rim mfgs. To steer clear of their space.
They created a freewheel, marketed saddles, clothes, later complete sets of wheels with freehubs and chains...
