Barracuda needs new cheapest front and rear gears HELP!!!

Here's my problem, I've had the barracuda snakebite for years and fallen in love with it, have a muddyfox road bike and loads of others but not as good as this one. The steering column is massive, like your driving a big lorry with the handles and the speedometer style gear counter is excellent. But, It needs a new front and rear derailleur and a new chain and I don't know how to buy these things and what to look in them.

It was a shimano rapid rise spiky thing, with a CI deck, megarange, superlow, logical shifting, comfort c050 technology.

your best bet is to pop the bike into a halfords, ask for add advice, then, buy it all cheaper online

Go to halfords and you will probably not get the right info. They are there to sell bikes- any bike to anyone and the stock and knowledge of parts is not good.

If you are not mechanically minded then find a local bike shop and see what they say. Providing they don't say "Scrap it"- then talk repair cost.
