Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Took it out for the maiden 50-mile ride today. It's a keeper, I do believe. Different in some ways, for sure, but I dunno how much is just adjusting to Campy SR mechanical and 52/36 gearing from DA 9070 and 50/34 on the Parlee.

Scored $20.50 aero bars on ebay. Will be interesting to see how they work out on the long country roads.

getting on when on a carpet base requires a bit of practice, i start the on ground level, clip in on one side then swing the rear wheel on to the rollers.
while training the rear wheel does not wander around like on a full roller set up.

Stahlwille 730/5 split beam torque wrench, 6-50 NM, +/-3% over the entire range, works for left-handed threads, just slide the scale to set torque, no need to return to zero after use, interchangeable heads.

I'll add a little one to match it too.

I've heard nothing but good things about those Ultegra wheels, very reliable, very street worthy. Their on sale for $334 for the set at wiggle.com | Shimano Ultegra 6800 Wheelset | Road Race Wheels
