Hi, about to buy a Kilo TT Pro. I'm 5'6 so was looking at buying the 50, but then I've been reading that they run big. Would a 50 be okay or should I be looking at the 47? Thanks

I'm 5'4" and ride 49-50cm. I feel like at 5'6"...a 47cm would be way too small for you.

Great, thanks for that. Upon further reading a 50 will be ideal for me.

Except the Kilo TT seat tube length is measured center to center, so it's equivalent to a 50cm frame measured center to top.

Not necessarily. A 50 cm Kilo TT is equivalent to 53 cm in other framesets. Did you try the fit calculator I linked. You need to look at the frame geometry on the bikesdirect site.

Yeah I looked this morning in fact, thanks for that! I checked again on BD and my stand over would be fine, I also asked an owner who is the same height as me and he had a 50 too.

Sorry for newb entrance to posting, will hopefully stick around once I get my bike.

My TT Pro arrived yesterday, started to build it up but my pump hasn't arrived yet. Can't wait to get riding.

My new red Stripper, added a freewheel but otherwise all stock parts. Noticed after taking this photo that the chain was loose and re-tensioned it.

Has anyone else had an issue of the top of the front tire rubbing against the brake arms? I had a mechanic at a LBS look at it, and he said it would be difficult to fix permanently without replacing either the brake or the front fork.

Take a picture of the wheel/brake combo? This sounds odd.

Some Kilo TTs have come with defective forks that lacked proper clearance for the brake caliper or larger tire. Contact bikesdirect and demand that they replace the fork or give you a big enough refund to buy a proper fork elsewhere. If they refuse to help, tell them that you'll have Donald Trump's lawyers sue them off the face of the earth.

Not odd at all. Lots of Kilo TTs have been sold with defective forks that lacked proper brake clearance.

Could be really old stock that has been sitting in the box for years. BD never opens the boxes to see if there are any problems.

True, I would think with the number of Kilo TTs they sell, the faulty ones would be gone by now. Who knows...

I totally didn't know that. It is odd, guess not for Kilo's.

Damn. I actually got this bike from bikeisland, because they had the size and color I wanted for (what I thought was) a great deal. Guess now I know why it was on the sale rack.

Bike mechanic changed out the bolt/washer assembly holding the brake to the fork to give it some more wiggle room. You can't even see it in the photo, but the clearance is mere millimeters, which is still a bit close for comfort. But at least it's not rubbing for now...

It doesn't even look like the brake is centered above the wheel.

Bikeisland is Bikes Direct, I'd still call them and *****, if I were you.

X-post from the post your bike thread.

My Kilo TT Pro. Going to get the fork cut down this week, swapped the pedals out already as they were awful. Really happy with it though.

Raw Kilo Stripper

Here's my 57cm Stripper build. Everything but the post was a take off from my conversion, and the stem a gift from a friend. Need to log miles now to finish the fit.

Hey, I didn't realize this thread existed. Here's mine:

It's pretty stock 2016 Kilo TT Pro save for the PowerGrips Deluxe pedals and straps, and the Pure Fix riser handlebar. Since taking that picture, I've replaced the saddle with a white Bontrager Inform RL saddle, and the 48t chainring with a black 46t IRO chainring. Whee!
