It very much looks like a Trek head badge. The fork looks Trek-like too. I've been looking at some other Treks (1500, 2000) from that approximate era (aluminum frame and fork, threaded headset) and it looks amazingly similar. I'm thrown off by the internal brake cable routing for the rear brake; I haven't seen that in that era Trek, but I've only been able to find drive-side shots, heh.

Found one. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a Trek. This Trek 1500 is very, very similar:

That's not necessarily jack; it could be totally functional. If one was trying to compete in triathlon or TT on a budget, that's more or less what you would go for.

What you can say for sure about it is that it's ugly .

One could argue that pretty much every tri bike ever is JA, but I think that was not the intention.

That poor butchered vice clamp.

That's pretty cool though, I'd probably only take it out for bar hop rides just to show off the jackassery of it.

^ Bars are total JA. The rest is not that bad, definitely seen worse. Aerospokes will get the hate, I know, but I like them. Same finish as the bike so they work. Leader will get the hate, but there is worse, not much, but there is. Chain ring bolts, eh, personal touch maybe, not for me, they will get some hate too but whatever.

True, if you ignore what makes the bike horrendously stupid, it's not that stupid.

That thing is actually quite cool. I mean it could use a little refinement and weight removal if even possible but is neat.
