Yes, I started working there at the beginning of 1974. In 1976 I became the manager and later I ran the business until I left in 1979.

So what would you like to know.

Wow, I bought my first Roberts frameset from whom I thought was the owner around 1979. A number of years later (10?), my wife and I drove to Albuquerque, and I left another Roberts from son Chas for an overhaul, and flew Southwest to visit her mom in San Francisco (we had friends in Santa Fe). When I picked up the bike, the owner took me a block or two to a house and showed me his bike collection. Wow! I didn’t know anyone in Albuquerque, so I can’t remember how I made the connection in the first place. So that would have been Mr. Hallet I dealt with? Will always remembered the place. Have enjoyed your posts, amazing connection.

Dick Hallett had some terrific mail order specials in his ads in BICYCLING! magazine.

Can recall Stronglight 99 chainsets for $30.00.

Folks usually think of him for his Bertin connection but he was also a Zeus stockist.

Some years after the business closed can recall him putting lots of Zeus small parts on eBay.
