I saw them and the stem and thought, "hmmmm those seem out of place....."

Perhaps owner stripped off original bars and stem with levers and took brakes, switching in the plain Jane dia compe ones? Using a phone so unsure if front is damaged but looks okay...
I know some folks have had trouble with flipping Terry bikes due to brand recognition issues (perhaps more so with Terry Geometry bikes?) but I know of two that sold rapidly. Been impressed with the paint jobs her Japanese frames have.

^^^^^^ Perhaps a flat-bar conversion that was subsequently converted back, using available parts.

But it says "Made _IN_ Jtaly" (not _BY_), so it must have been made inside Mr/Ms Taly.

Reminds me of a Groucho Marx quote - Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Or, this could be a rare misstrike (like happens with coins) and worth a lot of money.
The article referenced above obliquely implies that it is indeed a mis-strike, but evidently not rare. Dunno how one would research this, but it would surprise me if the entire run were made this way.

Dig this Fiorelli made Coppi brand TdF Super. Reynolds 531 of some sorts tubed, Campy ends.

I like the build and wouldn't change a thing but for consumables and preservation.

Classic quirked Campagnolo components which seem just right with this bike. Cool tubular vinti racey wheelset.

Auction ending soon.

Confidence inspiring copy in the description
Shifts rides brakes great.new pads

I am only 5 7 and I can ride it fine. Maybe it has relatively short top tube that enables it to be ridden by wide range of people just by adjusting seat height. Will definitely work for taller riders too.
But how big is it??

I suspect it was just a matter of mix and match parts to make the price point. Since Terry bikes were more expensive than other they need to cut corners to make the price point. I don't think the quality of the brakes is much different than the Z series shipmano you might see on a Light Action bike and better than the Chang Star Bianchi used on some of their lowerend bikes.

The black stem may simply be a fitting issue and that was all they had.

That Bianchi is pretty.

That Nishiki is tempting for the group but a 7 hour round trip is a deal breaker.

I have that exact bike, that came to me with most of those same components, save a Gipiemme crank, and clinchers. It's a blast to ride. That eBay one does have what looks to be a bent seat stay. Could be fixable, but worth a close look.
