Very nice work Alex. I was going to ask if you made one to hold the entire bike off the ground, and now see that you do. Not easy to get the geometry right on those so the bike sits level. I remember the last time I tried to make one it gave me a headache.
But what I really want to see is photos of the slot car track
I'm going to try and come of for the next Seattle show.

It was tricky - I had to build the stand around the bike. Required lots of clamps, a level, blocks, and maybe a floor jack. Also required disassembly and modifications on the fly. It works great, but I'd like to come up with something a bit more elegant. DD likes it - can't remember if he called it "industrial" or "steam punk."

Nice work, Alex. Very inspirational. I've got two wall hooks that need to be replaced with something nicer and sturdier... So, I was going to ask how the carving was done, but it's been answered. However, I now must assume you've got a CAD file for the Campagnolo logo? Any chance I could get a copy of that file? Pleeeease

Alex,
If you do decide to offer a stand like the one DD has now, I would definitely be interested in purchasing one from you. That is some of the nicest woodwork I have seen in years. Good to hear that you are getting some good people to watch the bikes while you are gone DD. Yep, Another khaki brother is a good choice for you...............................
..........If there are no Marines available to stand watch. let me know when you get in-country so I can begin your monthly magazine shipments, my doggie in 'Stan is at home nursing a hangover and ready to ride in the USA. You're up Senior Chief!
